Recommended Contractors of Highland Park

Over the last several issues of the Highland Park Newsletter, many have commented on Contractors that they recommend for services to the neighborhood. In an attempt to keep that information around longer than the eventual recycling of the newsletter, this entry gives you the chance to post that recommendation. Others can add on comments after that of course but never the less your experiences are needing to be shared.
Please include the basics of who they are, phone numbers, names of those you dealt with and perhaps in general some costs, perhaps in relation to other bids you found from others. Have at it

  1. Elite Hardwood Floors Co., Better Business Bureau A+ Rating . Owner Vic Pasielko, 1515 233rd Pl. N.E. Sammamish, WA 98074, phone 425-445-8444 web site www.elitehardwoods.com email vicpasielko@yahoo.com Also, Long's Floors recommended him, and the references Vic gave us couldn't say enough about the quality of the work.

They did an outstanding job refinishing and applying a Swedish finish to the hardwoods on the first floor. They were very skilled, clean, and on time.

The owner of the company lives in Sammamish and he came over frequently to check things out. The company is licensed, bonded, and insured. The bid was in the middle range of other bids that we received.

  2. A Handyman service to note is:

    Shirey Construction of Issaquah.

Riley Shirey is very experienced and professional. I had his team do some complicated repairs to a rental I manage and it was the easiest job I ever had done. I can highly recommend this company for all area's of construction, repair and remodel.

  3. Reccomendation from Joan Frey; lot 74

We would like to recommend a terrific electrician: Preston, the owner of Trade Electric, provided us with service that is rare today. He said that he'd be here on Tuesday, but was running late to work on our underground wire for our lamp post out by the street.
He arrived at 6pm and worked until 8 in the cold and dark (he did have extra lights). He said he had another job up north that would take all day Wed. and since he promised he'd do our wiring on Tuesday, he wanted to fulfill that promise.
He did not charge us overtime and honored his verbal quote to us on a previous visit. His fee is very reasonable and really knows his stuff.
His cell phone is 425-736-2531 and company phone is 425-222-7070.

  5. Recommendation from Joan and Mike Frey. Thanks!

Mike and I just finished remodeling our master bathroom. Although we've previously done remodeling, we had never before hired a general contractor. Instead in the past, we went out and found the subcontractors, which is time consuming and sometimes a scheduling nightmare. I would definitely recommend hiring a general contractor, and Kraig Sullivan, owner of Sullivan Custom Homes, and his crew were terrific. They arrived on time and were extremely professional. Kraig made everything run very smoothly from the demolishing to the finishing work. We absolutely love our new bathroom! We plan to hire them in the future to do the second bathroom. His contact information is cell: 425-765-8400 email: kraig@sullivancustom homes.com and his web site is www.sullivancustomhomes.com

We liked the outdoor window “Sun Setter” shades that he installed last year so much we bought more this year as well. Not only does he install Sun Setter Blinds but also designs and installs Blinds and window systems inside the house. Very professional, polite, arrives on time and cleans up after his work.

  7. We might want to prescribe an astounding electrical expert, the manager of Trade Electric, gave us benefit that is uncommon today. He said that he'd be here on Tuesday, yet was running late to chip away at our underground wire for our light post out by the road. electrician lynnwood
