We use Wet and have good luck with it. I think it's easier to mobilize the dirt [or other bad stuff] in a fluid form and therefore a better transport system out of the carpet and down the drain. It's called hot water extraction and it works, I think, quite well. Water and a high suction system is good but also part of this equation is who moves the furniture and keeps leg caps from rusting a stain on your carpet as it dries. The better the suction system the better the system cleans and the less drying after the cleaning.

Dry versus wet carpet cleaning
ReplyDeleteWe’ve used the dry carpet cleaning method for several years because it has several advantages over the wet method.
The dry method is exactly that- no water. That means that you don’t have to wait for the carpet to dry before you can walk in your home. It also means that we can have the carpets cleaned anytime of the year since we don’t need warmer weather to help the drying process. The products used in the dry method are safe for children and pets and non-toxic.
We don’t claim that the dry method is better than the wet method. It just makes more sense to use the dry method rather than the carpets getting incredibly wet. The convenience of not having to dry the carpet is also a big plus to us.
Cleaning stuffs like carpets, couch, bed and others with upholstery is a tough thing to do so I think customers wouldn't mind whatever kind of cleaning system you use as long as it is done quick and without damage to the fabric.

ReplyDeleteThe equipment used and knowledge on cleaning agents are what allow a company to be a multi-method operation that can low moisture or dry clean your carpet correctly! Encapsulation formulas are great for commercial carpets. An encapsulation technique is used to trap or form an outer coating surrounding dirt and grease, suspending it essentially until the next time you choose to run your regular dry vacuum. These techniques are the best for commercial carpets especially, since commercial grade carpet can be thinner and made of different materials.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
